Hand hewed logs take you back in time as you enter our authentic lodge. There is tremendous history here and the walls speak volumes about past fisherman and sportsmen who have visited in generations past.
It’s a central meeting place where soft comfortable couches invite you to sit back, relax and enjoy your favorite game on satellite TV, or select a movie from our collection. Take some time to play darts, sing Kareoke or challenge your friends to a game of pool. We invite you to bring your own beverages, enjoy a good book by the cast iron wood stove, or play some poker with your buddies while watching your favorite sports team on satellite TV. We have something for everyone!
Fishing in Ontario is what Marten River is famous for and that's still what we're known for today. It should be fun, productive and exciting. Our newly renovated rental cottages are tucked into the 5 acre wooded surroundings on the banks of Olive Lake in Marten River, Ontario . Olive the Lake cottages range in size from two to three bedrooms, and each possess their own unique characteristics and breathtaking views. Olive the Lake cottages feature fully equipped kitchens, with fridge and freezer, gas range top and microwave, three piece bathrooms with shower, and brand new Tempur-Pedic Mattresses to ensure you get the rest you need on your vacation.

Northern Ontario angling presents a variety of opportunities for guests of Olive the Lake. In addition to the many back lakes in Marten River, Olive Lake is full of fishing spots and is the home lake for Olive the Lake. Olive the Lake features such species as Walleye Fishing(pickerel), Northern Pike Fishing, Smallmouth Bass Fishing and Perch Fishing.
As a result of the many small sheltered lakes in our area, inclement weather is very rarely a concern. Fishing is truly enjoyable only when equipment failure is not a concern, and we maintain our aluminum boats to ensure safe, worry-free fishing. Read more >>
